From Pre-diabetic Blob to Rock Star: How the Snake Diet Turned My Life Around

COLE ROBINSON

Seven years ago, I was a prime example of a human mess. I was fat, on the verge of diabetes, and a walking canvas for Psoriasis. If that wasn’t bad enough, I also had psoriatic arthritis and was swimming in a pit of depression. I had tried every diet under the sun but they were all as ineffective as a chocolate teapot. Until I crossed paths with Cole Robinson and his Snake Diet, and let me tell you, that shit rocked my world.

The Comeback

As a professional singer, my image mattered as much as my voice. When you’re belting out high notes, you can’t be worrying about whether your gut is visible from the back row. I also used to be an athlete, so working out wasn’t new to me. But, my knowledge of nutrition was as scanty as the clothes on a Vegas showgirl. Then along came Cole Robinson, coaching me, pushing me to the limits. I dropped a whopping 90 pounds in about six months. With what I know now, as a certified fitness and nutrition coach, I reckon I could’ve done it in half the time if I hadn’t been a stubborn ass at first about fasting for longer than 24 hours. Nowadays, I can fast for 5-7 days without breaking a sweat.

Uncoiling the Snake Diet

The Snake Diet isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s a hardcore weight loss method that requires intense fasting followed by a 2-4 hour window of feasting on lean meats and vegetables. Picture it like living on a snake’s diet. These cold-blooded slitherers chow down one large meal every few days, and that’s the central principle of this diet.

The science behind this is about tricking your body into burning fat. During fasting, your body has no choice but to use stored fat as fuel. Fasting for this long helps keep insulin levels low, which prevents new fat from being stored. This cycle repeats itself, and you start shedding pounds.

Starting with a fasting period that can last up to 48 hours, you’re encouraged to consume nothing but Snake Juice – a high-electrolyte drink, during the fasting times. After the fast, you stuff your face for a couple of hours, focusing mainly on foods that won’t spike your glucose levels, like cucumbers, spinach, broccoli, meats, and poultry. This kicks your body into a state of ketosis, burning fat for energy instead of sugar.

Numerous studies have confirmed the benefits of intermittent fasting and low-carb diets, including improved heart health, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. The diet has its critics who argue that it can cause nutrient deficiencies and other health problems due to the extreme restriction of calories. It’s a tough gig, no doubt, but for me, the payoff was a helluva lot better than the struggle.

The Encore: Living the Dream, Four Years On

Fast forward seven years and here’s the update: I’ve kept the damn weight off. My skin, once a victim of psoriasis, is now clear. Arthritis? Non-existent. Type 2 diabetes? Long gone.

And the cherry on top? I’ve reclaimed my throne, under the spotlight, where I belong. I’m back on stage, belting out tunes in the number one Rock musical in Las Vegas, Raiding The Rock Vault. My image, my voice, my health – they’re all in harmony.

So, if you’re sick of diets that don’t stick, and if you’re ready to tough it out for a better, healthier you, then the Snake Diet could be your ticket. It sure as hell worked for me, and it just might work for you too. It’s science-backed, it’s hard, but damn, it’s effective.
